LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) – led by the director general (DG) – held crackdown against fake and unhygienic food production units, Dunya News reported on Friday.
According to details, fake cold drinks were being manufacture at Fayyaz Bottle Production Unit in Lahore’s Harbanspura area. The PFA seized around 2000 bottles of cold drinks, artificial flavours, colours, chemicals and machinery.
Furthermore, 1200 empty bottles, 5 gas cylinders, 2 filling machines, pressure pump and motors were confiscated as well. One person was arrested and case was filed against the culprits.
The production unit of Shoaib Foods was sealed in Ferozewala near Sheikhupura. 114000 kg unhygienic pickle and murabba (fruit preserves) were recovered by the food authority.
