Peshawar: KP Food Authority seals four factories over substandard production.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Food Safety and Halal Food Authority conducted raids and sealed four factories owing to substandard production, Dunya News reported on Friday.
The raids were conducted in Gulbhar, Afridi Ghari and Hazar Khwani areas over public complaints. The food authority arrested five suspects and handed them over to the police.
The details suggest that sweets, nimko (spicy lentils and grain flour) and choran (a flavored, chemically treated edible salt) factories were sealed along with production unit of a bakery. Chinese salt was also recovered.
