Violence against women failed to be minimized even in 2018
Several incidents of murder, acid attacks, rape, domestic violence, and harassment were reported.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The incidents of violence against women failed to be minimized even during the year 2018.
Women have always remained victim to murders, acid attacks, domestic violence, harassment in offices and even heart wrenching rape cases.
According to the statistical report of Punjab for year 2018, at least 190 women have been dragged to death, 181 have been raped while 39 were victimized to domestic violence across province.
Around 2072 females were reported to be harassed via social media and 3405 in offices whereas several acid attack cases have also been filed.
As per the experts’ opinion, it is very important to comply with relevant laws to eliminate women s exploitation from society.
