Fraudsters loot more than Rs1.05 million from three bank accounts

The fraud incidents occured in Kalabagh, Chishtian and Okara.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Incidents of banking fraud keep on escalating as three more accounts were emptied of money in Kalabagh, Chishtian and Okara on Friday.

According to details, more than Rs1.05 million was looted from the bank accounts by fraudsters.

The first incident occurred with Awal Muneer of Kalabagh from whom the fraudsters took account details, data and pin code while calling from the bank’s official number.

Muneer came to know the next day that Rs2,81,000 were missing from his account.

Chishtian’s resident Liaquat was the second target who says that the fraudsters posed themselves as intelligence officers and asked for his bank details.

They looted at least Rs3,00,000 from his account.

In the third episode, Rs4,72,000 were stolen from the account of Okara’s government employee Rafaqat. The fraudsters took his bank details while posing themselves as bank representatives.
