Fraudsters posing as bank officers steal money from two more bank accounts
The incidents occurred in Jahanian and Ahmadpur Sial.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Fraudsters while posing themselves as bank officers stole money from the accounts of two more citizens on Thursday.
Details suggest that the incidents occurred in Jahanian and Ahmadpur Sial where the fraudsters committed the crime in pretext of updating the bank account.
In the first episode, Jahanian’s resident Haji Muhammad Akram received a call from his bank’s helpline and was asked to provide the bank’s data.
Minutes after Akram acted upon the directions, he was deprived of his money from the account. He contacted the bank for assistance, but they refused to offer any help.
Distressed by the incident, Haji Muhammad Akram has demanded recovery of his money.
The second happening occurred with a teacher in Ahmad Pur Sial where the fraudsters called him through bank’s helpline and asked for the account details and pincode.
As soon as the information was provided, the fraudsters stole Rs4,20,000 from the account.
The same events occurred a day before in Chichawatni, Chishtian and Jahanian where the fraudsters looted millions from the people.
Adding insult to the injury, neither the bank staff nor Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) is willing to register complaint and take action against the criminals.
