GCU's associate professor shot dead over old enmity, reveals initial report
Dr Haider said mobile phone and cash were present in Cheemas pocket even after the incident.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) operations Dr Haider Ashraf on Wednesday revealed that Government College University’s Associate Professor Dr Tanzeem Akbar Cheema was gunned down over old enmity.
Cheema, a 20 grade teacher in Botany department, shot four times on Tuesday night when he was going home. Some armed suspects stopped him on Kalma Chowk and opened fire.

Dr Haider said mobile phone and cash were present in Cheema’s pocket even after the incident that occurred on a service lane. He assured that investigation into the matter has been launched to nab the culprits.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Punjab (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has take notice of the incident and directed Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) to submit report as early as possible.
He also extended condolences to the bereaved family.
