Islamabad (Dunya News) – Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Mohammad Mushtaq has ordered a judicial inquiry over Rawal Town alleged police encounter in which one senior citizen was killed and another injured yesterday, reported Dunya News.
According to details, police tried to stop a car on a Police checkpoint in Islamabad’s Rawal Town, but the car driver refused to stop. Instead of puncturing the tyres of the car, policemen shot on target and killed an elderly citizen in the process. A gun shot pierced the back mirror, while three other hit the driving seat door of the car.
Earlier this year, a young man named Taimoor Riaz was shot dead in his car, by Islamabad Police Eagle Squad, after he refused to stop on a checkpoint in sector I-10/1, Islamabad.
