'Police encounter' kills one in Rawal Town area of Islamabad
Interior minister takes notice of Islamabad police killing one person in alleged encounter
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – An alleged police encounter took place in Rawal Town area of Islamabad on Wednesday in which one suspect was gunned down by the police officers.
Apart from one killing, another person was injured in the incident. Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal took notice of the incident and summoned report from inspector general (IG).
Police sources claimed that they tried to stop a vehicle, however, people inside the car opened fire at the policemen on duty. Police officials retaliated and gun fires were heard in the area. The alleged encounter killed one suspect with another injured.

The dead person was identified to be named Anayat while the police admitted injured person in polyclinic hospital nearby. Police said they are trying to record the statements of the injured.
Ahsan Iqbal was quick to take notice of the firing incident at Rawal Town police checkpoint. He has asked Islamabad IG to submit report of the incident as soon as possible.
