LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Stage actress Sangam Rana has on Sunday committed suicide allegedly. Police arrived at her house upon receiving the news, obtained all the evidence available at the scene and started investigations. However, her mother has now claimed that she didn’t commit suicide but was murdered in fact, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Sangam Rana, whose real name is Sobia, was working these days at Lahore’s Al-Falah Theater. Police was informed of the suicide late in the night. Police arrived at her house immediately, took the body into custody, collected all the evidence available and started the investigations.
According to police, Sobia’s family and relatives are also being interrogated. Officials told that the dead body will be handed to the family after postmortem. Moreover, the reasons for suicide are being searched for while possibilities of murder cannot be ruled out.
On the other hand, Sobia’s family members say that she committed suicide and they don’t want to get involved into any investigations. They said that they didn’t want the postmortem of the body and refused to provide the media with a perspective. However, the police said that the body will only be handed to the relatives after postmortem.
