LAHORE (Dunya News) – A man charged with rape absconded from police custody on Thursday after his interim bail was dismissed from Lahore High Court (LHC).
The suspect Rashid was detained for raping a woman and when the court rejected his interim bail he escaped from police custody whereas the investigation officer stood their halpless instead of nabbing him.
The victim and his family were miffed at the suspect’s escape and accused the police of assisting the rapist in fleeing first from session court and then from LHC.
A case is registered against the suspect in Sheikhupura police station.
