Shahid Afridi was really furious at the TikTok app

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Terming popular video-sharing application TikTok as a bigger issue, former national cricket team skipper Shahid Afridi has supported banning TikTok.

The national star expressed these views speaking during a talk show aired on a private TV channel. Shahid Afridi and Musician Shehzad Roy were invited to an entertainment show hosted by actor Ahsan Khan in which he commented on this issue.

Shahid Afridi was really furious at the TikTok app. Shehzad Roy however, was of the view that Afridi is a world-known figure so he can also work for the ban of TikTok. Shahid said that this job only belongs to Shehzad as he is the one who talks about social issues more than him. Afridi said that TikTok is a bigger issue and the voice should be raised in this regard.

Talking about the internet and education, Afridi said that in many rural parts of the country, education is not yet available but Wi-Fi had already arrived. “You must have an education before you can use anything,” he said.

While talking to the 49-year-old singer and Ahsan Khan, Afridi expressed his concern regarding use of modern technology and social media at the appropriate age. "I am always surprised to see mobile phones in the hands of 12 or 13 year olds. I purchased mobile phone for my daughter at the age of 19,” he maintained.

During the program, Afridi said that Roy is going to Islamabad and he should try to ban TikTok. In the reply, Shehzad Roy said that he was requesting from Afridi to form a political party but he denied, saying he did not want to form a party. “I told Shahid Afridi that a political party has been formed on justice, now please form a party on education,” he added.

Replying to the singer, Shahid Afridi said, “Roy is advising me, he should come himself, why don t do it by himself.” The Pakistani singer said that if Shahid Afridi forms a political party, he will join his party.
