Four Pakistani cricketers in CA's best XI after CT17

Summary Sarfraz Ahmed to lead the side with Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir and Hasan Ali as key players

(Web Desk) – Cricket Australia has created their best XI for the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 which will be led by skipper Sarfraz Ahmed with the likes of Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson.

They have preferred the Pakistani wicket-keeper to lead the side despite having the prolific batsmen Indian skipper Virat Kohli and New Zealand captain Kane Williamson in the side. He will bat at number 7.

The amazing Fakhar Zaman with 252 runs in four matches (average of 63) has been selected as the opening batsman with Shikar Dhawan who also had an amazing tournament with the bat. Next to come are Bangladesh’s Tamim Iqbal, Kane Williamson and Virat Kohli. Ben Stokes will fill the space of an all-rounder. He 184 runs with one ton apart from three wickets in the four matches he played.


Fakhar Zaman s 100 against India in CT17 final:


Adil Rashid has been selected as the spinner for the best XI. The leading wicket-taker and winner of Player of the Tournament Hasan Ali will play the role of leading pacer. Mohammad Amir, who picked three key wickets in India final, will be alongside him.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who bowled excellent against Pakistan, has also been picked in the CT17 XI with seven wickets in the five matches he played.
