BIRMINGHAM (Dunya News) – Sources have revealed that fast bowler Wahab Riaz may likely be excluded from the Champions Trophy squad as he is suffering from a knee injury.
It has also been reported that the fast bowler will undergo a fitness test prior to mega encounter prior to the Champions Trophy.
Wahab also missed the practice session however the team management is still hopeful that the fast bowler will get fit prior to mega encounter on June 4.
Currently, it seems difficult that Wahab could most likely play the match against India and hence his exclusion from the squad is also on the cards.
Earlier, Umar Akmal was also dropped from the 15-member squad for ICC Champions Trophy and was replaced by Haris Sohail as the middle order batsman after he failed to pass two fitness tests.
