Summary Bangladeshi skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and asked India to bat first at the Oval

WEB DESK – After their superb performance against Pakistan in their first warm-up in which Fahim snatched victory from Bengal Tigers just at the eleventh hour, Bangladesh were ready to take on yet another strong side in the second warm up.

Bangladeshi skipper Shakib Al Hasan won the toss and asked India to bat first at the Oval.

Overs 50, Score 324/7

Pandya was turning out to be a nightmare for the Bangla bowlers specifically in the depth over as he was playing with an aggressive style while frustrating the Bangladeshi side in the process of doing so. Moreover, equal support was also provided by Jadeja. Twenty runs came of the two overs just after the forty fifth over.

Rubel Hossain provided yet another breakthrough as he removed Jadeja who fell after scoring quick 32 runs. A brilliant over fetching four runs and a crucial wicket was what Rubel did in forty eighth over.

However, the dangerous Pandeya pursued with aggressive mood as he gave Sunzamul Islam a fair enough beat up in the second last over. A huge six and a boundary resulted in fetching sixteen runs of the over.

Ashwin also whipped one away for a boundary in the last over however was cleaned up by Rubel of the next ball. Pandya finished things up in style as he hammered one away for a huge six of the last ball of the innings.

The impressive all-rounder scored a crucial knock of 80 runs of 54 balls and helped his side scoring 324 runs in the warm up match prior to the Champions Trophy.


Overs 45, Score 270/5

Taskin got some punishment from Pandeya as a boundary of the first ball followed by a huge one for six of the third ball resulted in fetching 12 runs of the forty first over.

Mehedi bowled yet another impressive over as only three runs came of the forty second over. A total of 8 runs came of 43rd while 5 runs came of the forty fourth over.

Pandeya took the charge once again however, the punishment at this time was received by Mustafizur Rahman who conceded 15 runs in the forty fifth over with Pandeya thumping him away for a huge six and a boundary.

Overs 40, Score 227/5

After playing a superb knock, the dangerous Karthik got retired out after scoring valuable 94 runs in the 35th over. Hardik Pandeya was introduced to the crease in the 36th over.

Things got slow once again as only 10 runs were scored in three overs after the thirty fifth over. In order to bring some pace in the innings once again, Pandeya shuffled inside the line and simply helped the ball on its way for four more in the thirty ninth over.

Mehedi Hasan came to ball the fortieth over and bowled brilliantly as only 2 runs came of the over. With just 10 remaining in the innings, India were 227 for the loss of five wickets.

Overs 35, Score 208/4

Karthik also reached to his fifty in the twenty sixth over. Mosaddek Hossain got some punishment in the 30th over as he went away for 10 runs.

Meanwhile, nine runs came of the 31st over while 8 runs came of the 32nd over as both Jadhav and Karthik tried to speed things up.

A total of thirteen runs came of the thirty third over as both the batsmen seemed to be in mood to score in fast and furious style.

KM Jadhav who was batting really aggressive was cleaned up by Sunzamul Islam after he scored quick 31 runs. After 35 overs, India were 208 for the loss of four wickets. 


Overs 25, Score 132/3

Both the batsman tried to bring some pace in the game as they fetched some boundaries just before the half way stage.

Meanwhile, the Indian side reached to 100 in the twenty first over for the loss of two wickets.

Just when the Bangladeshi bowlers were losing the plot with third wicket partnership piling up runs, Sunzamul Islam provided the breakthrough as he removed Dhawan who was caught by Mehedi. Dhawan departed after scoring 60 runs. 

Jadhav came in to bat as he thumped Sunzamul Islam for a huge six in the twenty fifth over. 


Overs 15, Score 69/2

Both Karthik and Dhawan removed the pressure that was created after the early two wickets and carried on the innings smoothly. An appeal for leg before wicket against Dhawan was turned down by the umpire in the twelfth over. 

Meanwhile, the Banladeshi bowlers came back strongly as they bowled brilliantly from 10th to 15th over as India were 69 for the loss of two wickets after 15 overs. 


Overs 10, Score 48/2

It was Rubel Hussain who provided his side with the early breakthrough as he cleaned up Rohit Sharma on the very first ball of the second over.

The introduction of Ajankiya Rahane was also really short lived as an inside edge from his bat rattled the stumps of the bowling of Mustifizur Rahim.

After the early blows Shaiker Dhawan and Karthik carried on the innings by playing shots all around the wicket while at the same time maintaining the average as well. 

After the first 10 overs the Indian side were 48 for the loss of two wickets.
