Pakistan Women claim 2nd victory in World T20, hopes to reach semi-final amplified by victory
NEW DELHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 9 wickets in Women World T20 on Thursday. It was the team’s second victory in the mega event and the hopes to reach the semi-final stages have amplified after this victory by the Girls in Green, reported Dunya News.
According to details, Bangladesh had set 114-run target for Pakistan while batting first at Ferozshah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi. Pakistan chased down the total in 16.3 overs with the loss of only one wicket. Sidra Ameen scored 53 runs off 48 balls while Bismah Maroof scored 43 runs off 42 balls.
Bangladeshi bowlers clearly seemed ill-equipped to stopthe runs flowing from Pakistani batswomen’s bats and eventually lost the game with 3.3 overs to spare.
