Summary Taking notice of Shehryar Khan's visit, govt directed all sports federations to consult with govt
LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Federal government has on Monday taken notice of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Shehryar Khan’s visit to India last month. Government has also directed all the sports federations to consult with the government before making visits abroad, reported Dunya News.
In his bid to earn a series with India, Chairman PCB is now under pressure over his India visit. In a letter received by Shehryar Khan from the Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), the federal government has asked him why he didn’t consult the federal government before visiting India.
Minister IPC Riaz Pirzada has also issued the notification to all the sports federations in the country to always consult with the government before making such decisions.
Earlier, PCB had come up with contradicting stories in Shehryar Khan s visit to India as Chief Executive of the board Najam Sethi, talking to Kamran Khan on Dunya News, said one thing while Chairman said another in a media conference.

Sethi revealed that the heads of the two boards remained in contact through their wives after Shiv Sena’s attack on BCCI’s office. He admitted that BCCI had given a direct hint after Shiv Sena’s attack of the postponement of the meeting between their officials and he left India immediately after the postponement but Shehryar Khan decided to stay.
