Summary Letter contained only justifications that BCCI is talking to Indian government about the issue
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) sent a letter to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Wednesday that lacks any clear answer to whether Indian team is going to play with Pakistan or not, reported Dunya News. BCCI only stated in the letter that the board is negotiating with the Indian government on the issue.
The tournament between the arch-rivals was scheduled for December. But threats from the Hindu extremist group Shiv Sena raised many questions on Pakistani side. BCCI officials invited PSB chairman Shahryar Khan to India in order to discuss the matter but canceled the meeting after an attack of Shiv Sena on BCCI board office on the day on meeting.
Shahryar Khan told the media, on coming back home, that BCCI insulted PCB official by inviting and cancelling the meeting without any note of pardon. Chairman PCB wrote a letter to BCCI about the issue and asked the Indian cricking body to talk to their government. But BCCI’s answer to the mentioned letter was not what Pakistan was expecting. The letter contained only the justifications that the Indian board is talking to the Indian government and even putting pressure to make the tournament possible on it’s scheduled time.
