The left arm fast bowler was involved in an incident of sledging with Australian all-rounder Shane Watson for which he was fined a part of his match fee.
Brian Lara, the West Indian legend, came out in support of the fast bowler and offered to pay the fine imposed by the International Cricketing Council.
Wahab Riaz responded to the offer by tweeting to the West Indian batsman that he would be delighted to meet him in person and would consider it an honor if he were given an opportunity to host the legendary record holder batsman.
