LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Pakistan’s Test captain Misbahul Haq has on Tuesday formally announced his retirement from One-Day International (ODI) cricket. Looking satisfied with his own performance in the World Cup 2015, Misbah criticized the former cricketers for their negative comments about the team throughout the tournament, Dunya News reported.

Speaking to media after his meeting with Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Shehryar Khan at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Misbah said that he was satisfied with his career and thanked the board for always supporting him.

Criticizing the former players, Misbah said that former cricketers criticized without reason and said things that did not fulfill the criteria of decency. “It is sad that people do not look at their own past”, he said.

Denying the rumors about Sohaib Maqsood and wicket-keeper Sarfaraz Ahmad, Misbah said that there were no rifts within the team. He prayed for the betterment of the team.
