Summary Australia lead the three-match T20 series after winning the opening match.

MELBOURNE, Jan 31, 2014 (AFP) - England won the toss and chose to bat in the second Twenty20 international against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday.

Australia recalled left-arm paceman Mitchell Starc for his first international of the domestic summer following a back injury.

Veteran batsman Brad Hodge, 39, also returns for his first T20 for Australia since 2008, while Moises Henriques was out of the side as he has left to join the Australian touring squad in South Africa

Spinner James Tredwell was recalled by England at the expense of Danny Briggs, while Ben Stokes was named 12th man.

Australia lead the three-match T20 series after winning the opening match in Hobart by 13 runs on Wednesday.
