Summary India won the toss and sent New Zealand in to bat in the fifth and final ODI in Wellington.

WELLINGTON (AFP) - India won the toss and sent New Zealand in to bat in the fifth and final one-day international in Wellington on Friday.

The tourists have already lost the series 3-0 and will be looking to save face in the final one-dayer ahead of a two-Test series against the Black Caps next month.

India made just one change, with opener Shikhar Dhawan replacing Stuart Binny, and captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said his team needed to forge the big partnerships that have eluded them so far this series.

"It s important now to build pressure so it s important that we get off to a good start," he said.

New Zealand made two changes, dropping Tim Southee and Hamish Bennett from the bowling attack in favour of Mitchell McClenaghan and debutant Matt Henry.
