Gold and silver prices hit record highs as international bullion rates surged, lifting local gold beyond Rs521,000 per tola and silver to unprecedented levels.
KARACHI (Web Desk) - Prices of gold and silver have reached new historic highs in both international and domestic markets.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce recorded a sharp increase of $65, pushing it to a new all-time high of $4,988.
The surge in global prices had a direct impact on local markets as well. The price of 24-karat gold per tola rose by Rs6,500 to reach a record Rs521,162, while the price per 10 grams increased by Rs5,573 to Rs446,812.
Silver prices also saw a notable rise, with the per tola rate jumping by Rs526 to a new peak of Rs10,801, while the price per 10 grams climbed by Rs451 to Rs9,260.
