Broiler chicken prices follow wheat's decreasing trend

Despite reduced prices, wheat and flour are being sold on arbitrary increased prices
LAHORE (Duniya News) - After wheat the price of broiler meat has also come down drastically.
The price of broiler meat has decreased by Rs70 per kilogram and has come down to Rs504 but the price of eggs could not be reduced remaining unchanged at Rs289 per dozen.
On the other hand the price of wheat in Punjab has further come down to Rs3800 while the price of wheat in South Punjab is Rs3500, according to sources.
Despite the low price of wheat, the price of flour could not be reduced in the market as flour mill owners were not ready to reduce the price.
The deputy commissioner and commissioner were unable to implement the official prices of flour, shopkeepers have been charging arbitrary prices on sale of flour.
Beef and mutton were also being sold expensive in Lahore and in this regard citizens have complained that beef and mutton were being sold many times more expensive than the official rates but there was no one to check.
