Govt mulls imposing 15pc income tax on online earnings
Government is under pressure from IMF in this regard.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Government is considering imposing 17.5 percent tax and other charges on online earning.
As per details, government, being under pressure from International Monetary Fund (IMF), is mulling to impose 15 percent income tax on foreign incomes.
All incomes will be required to be sent through State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) and a foreign currency account will be opened for this purpose.
From January 1 all incomes will be required to be deposited in that account and current Western Union service will be discontinued.
