Summary The prices of Daal Chana decreased by Rs 5/kilogramme
KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to shopkeepers, Kabuli Chana prices decreased by Rs 10 per kilogramme and became PKR 165 per kilogramme.
Chana dal prices decreased by Rs 5 and became PKR 105 per kilogramme. During the past year, Daal Mash reached its record high price while its rate has decreased by half this year.
Daal Mash is now sold for Rs 135 per kilogramme. Wholesale dealers claim that price of lentils have decreased following good yield and rapid import.
The consumption of different pulses in the country is 1.2 million ton while its production is just 0.5 million ton which is why the rest is imported.
