Bearish trend was witnessed at Karachi stock market on Tuesday as the benchmark 100-index closed below 8,900 points. Business activity started positively in the shares market. Selling pressure was seen due to lower investment by foreigners. Investors and financial institutions got profit taking due to increased share prices. The KSE-100 index closed at 8,821 points with decrease of 114 points. Trade volume of 165 million shares was recorded. Jahangir Siddiqi and company remained volume leader with trade of 21.3 million shares.
