SBP to print Rs 80 bn currency notes for Eid

The Sate Bank of Pakistan set the target of printing Rs 80 billion currency notes for Eid-ul-Fitar in which Rs 6.10 billion notes have already been printed. According to bank spokesman, Muhammad Wasimuddin, two crore 91 lac notes of value Rs 5, 2 crore notes of value Rs 10, 93 lac notes of value Rs 20, 44 lac 97 thousand notes of value Rs 50, 40 lac notes of value Rs 100, 23 lac notes of value Rs 500, 20 lac notes of value Rs 1,000 and 3 lac 31 thousand notes of value Rs 5,000 have been printed till now. The State Bank will issue new notes to citizens by checking their ID cards.
