Profits of oil and gas exploration and production companies have increased by 36 percent which is Rs 113 billion in the first nine months of current fiscal year.According to a report, the profits in the first nine months of the last fiscal year were Rs 83 billion.Increase in the profits of oil companies is due to hike in petroleum prices and the devaluation of the rupee against the dollar.
