Punjab has made annual fitness certificates mandatory for private vehicles, with fines and possible impoundment for non-compliance, adding a new requirement for motorists.

LAHORE (Dunya News) -  The Punjab government has made annual fitness certification mandatory for private vehicles across the province, introducing a new compliance requirement that could affect millions of motorists.

Under the new requirement, private vehicle owners will have to get their vehicles tested for roadworthiness every year and obtain a valid fitness certificate.
