ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Goods transporters have announced continuing strike until their demands are met after negotiations with the government ended without reaching a final conclusion.
The All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association's negotiations with the government ended without a final result.
According to a statement issued in this regard, the strike will continue until the demands are approved.
During the talks, all the demands of the transporters were discussed in detail. Minister of Communications Abdul Aleem Khan assured that the problems of the transporters would be resolved.
The negotiations did not reach a final agreement or approval of the demands.
Association leader Owais Chaudhry has said that the transporters will not give up their legitimate and legal demands under any circumstances. ‘We are ready to continue negotiations with the government’, they said.
In addition, the All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association said that the wheel-jam strike will continue until the demands are practically accepted.
