LAHORE (Dunya News) – A 10-year-old girl was found dead in the washroom of a private tuition centre in Lahore's Ichhra area on Thursday, police said, as authorities launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
According to police, the girl, identified as Naeema, had left her home to attend tuition classes at a privately operated tuition centre established inside a residential house. She was later found dead in the centre's washroom.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town Asad Ali reached the scene, where the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Gulberg briefed him on the initial findings.
Police said the child's body was shifted to the morgue for a post-mortem examination to determine the exact cause of death.
SP Asad Ali said the motive and circumstances behind the incident would be established after the completion of the investigation and forensic examination. He added that legal proceedings were underway.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the cause of death or confirmed whether foul play was involved.
