FEROZEWALA (Dunya News) – Police have registered a murder case against a serving assistant sub-inspector (ASI) and his first wife after a woman was allegedly set on fire and killed in Kot Noor Shah, Ferozewala.
According to police, the victim, Tehreem Bibi, had married Jehangzeb Khan as his second wife in a love marriage two years ago. The suspect's first wife, Salma, has two daughters and a son.
The first information report (FIR) alleges that Jehangzeb Khan and his first wife jointly set Tehreem Bibi on fire, killing her. Investigators said an initial attempt was made to portray the incident as a gas leakage accident, but evidence gathered during the investigation led police to register a murder case.
Police took the victim's body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Following the incident, both Jehangzeb Khan and his first wife fled the scene. Police said the suspect is serving as an ASI at Manawan Police Station and raids are underway to arrest both accused.
