11 cops rescued in operation against Ziarat attack terrorists

QUETTA (Dunya News) – Security forces have rescued 11 policemen who were kidnapped by terrorists during an attack on a police checkpost in a Ziarat area.

Fifteen policemen are still missing. FC and police were conducting a joint operation to rescue them. There were reports that 15 terrorists of Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan were eliminated and several were injured in the operation.

Nine police personnel were martyred while fighting bravely. Their funeral prayers were offered. They were martyred after heavily armed militants attacked a police checkpost in Balochistan's Ziarat district, while 15 militants were killed during a subsequent joint security operation, officials said on Tuesday.

According to the Ziarat Superintendent of Police (SP), the attackers targeted a police checkpost in the Kach Mangi Phase III area. The assault led to the martyrdom of nine police officials, including two station house officers (SHOs).
