Winning the toss, Pakistan women's cricket team opted to bat first and posted an impressive 343 for 4 in their allotted 50 overs, showcasing exceptional top-order strength.
The foundation of the innings was laid by openers Sadaf Shamas and Gull Feroza, both of whom scored centuries. Sadaf Shamas played a composed knock of 101 runs off 112 balls, while Gull Feroza matched the effort with a fluent 100 off 95 deliveries.
Their remarkable partnership provided Pakistan with a strong platform, putting pressure on Zimbabwe’s bowling attack early in the innings.
Captain Sidra Nawaz contributed 25 runs, while Aliya Riaz added 27 runs to keep the scoreboard moving in the middle overs.
In the latter stages, Sidra Ameen remained unbeaten on 59, anchoring the innings, while Ayesha Zafar chipped in with an unbeaten 18 runs to guide Pakistan to a commanding total.
