RAWALPINDI (Web Desk) - Aleema Khan, sister of Imran Khan, has called for pressure to ensure his medical treatment and release.
Speaking to media at Adiala Road, she said the family wants Imran Khan’s treatment to take place in their presence, preferably at Shifa International Hospital.
She added that it is the responsibility of his political party to apply pressure for proper medical care and hearings of appeals related to him and his wife Bushra Bibi.
Aleema Khan said only party office-bearers had been requested to mobilise, adding that the presence of senior leadership could activate the organisation.
She claimed that several party workers had been detained in recent weeks, while elected representatives were released.
She further stated that both Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi have been in solitary confinement for seven months, stressing the need for legal proceedings and medical attention.
Calling for peaceful pressure and resistance within constitutional limits, she urged parliamentarians and party leaders to raise their voices.
