Summary KP government announced a pen-down strike from tomorrow, protesting alleged federal injustices in NFC share, energy issues, and treatment of PTI founder Imran Khan.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced a province-wide pen-down strike starting tomorrow, citing what it describes as discriminatory treatment by the federal government.

Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said the decision was taken in protest against alleged injustices in the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award, as well as electricity and gas-related matters. He maintained that the province has not been given its due share and rights.

Afridi further criticised the handling of Imran Khan, founder of PTI, and Bushra Bibi, stating that they are not being provided medical care under the supervision of personal physicians. He also termed the denial of meetings with family members and legal counsel as unlawful.

The provincial government said the strike is intended to draw attention to these concerns and pressure the federal authorities to address them.
