SANYA (Dunya News) - President Asif Ali Zardari arrived in Sanya, in China’s Hainan province, after completing his visit to Hunan province.
Upon arrival, he was received by Communist Party of China Hainan Secretary Wang Jiang. China’s Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong and Pakistan’s Consul General in Guangzhou Sardar Muhammad were also present on the occasion.
Zardari’s arrival in Sanya reflects the continuation of high-level Pakistan-China contacts and efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation.
Sanya is regarded as a global tourism hub and plays an important role in the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port, making it a key centre for economic and trade activities.
During his China visit, the president is expected to discuss economic, trade and strategic cooperation, as well as the promotion of CPEC, with provincial leadership.
President Zardari will also attend the commissioning ceremony of Pakistan Navy submarine “Hangor” in Sanya.
