MIANWALI (Dunya News) - An unusual incident surfaced in Mianwali where officials of the Excise and Taxation Department allegedly sealed a house while family members were still inside.
According to reports, Excise and Taxation Inspector Azmatullah Khan sealed the house of well-known social figure Haji Sheikh Shafi in Mohalla Ibrahimabad over non-payment of property tax.
It was reported that the homeowner was not informed before the action was taken, while children and women were present inside the house at the time of sealing.
After the matter quickly gained attention on social media, the Excise and Taxation Officer took immediate notice of the sensitive situation.
The department later sent an official who removed the seal, bringing relief to the children and women trapped inside the house.
