Four killed, eight injured as truck overturns in Bhalwal

Police officials said that the accident occurred due to over-speeding. They also informed that the death toll may rise further as four of the injured persons were in critical condition

BHALWAL (Dunya News) – At least four people were killed and eight other were wounded when a truck turned turtle in Bhalwal, a city in Sargodha District in Punjab, on Wednesday night, Dunya News reported.

According to details, the accident occurred at the Dhori Road where a truck, carrying 12 persons and laden with wheat straw, overturned due to over-speeding, killing four people on the spot and injuring eight others.

Police and rescue teams reached the spot after being informed and shifted the dead and injured to hospital. According to police, the deceased were identified as 25-year-old Adeel, 22-year-old Muhammad Ali, 18-year-old Ali and 20-year-old Amjad.

Police officials said that the accident occurred due to over-speeding. They also informed that the death toll may rise further as four of the injured persons were in critical condition.
