ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar on Wednesday said that Pakistan announced to join Board of Peace under UNSC Resolution 2803.

In a message posted on the social media platform 'X', formerly known as Twitter, Ishaq Dar said "Pakistan announces its decision to join the Board of Peace (BoP) in support of the Gaza Peace Plan under UNSC Resolution 2803".

Ishaq Dar said that through this decision, Pakistan has reaffirmed its commitment to a permanent ceasefire, humanitarian-based assistance, the reconstruction of Gaza, and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state within a just and time-bound framework, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.
