RIYADH (Dunya News) - Saudi authorities have arrested six Pakistani nationals for receiving 71 kilograms of narcotics in Saudi Arabia, according to the Ministry of Interior.
Security spokesperson Talal Al-Shalhoub said the General Directorate of Narcotics Control (GDNC), in coordination with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, arrested six Pakistani residents in the Riyadh region while they were taking delivery of 71 kilograms of methamphetamine.
In another operation, Al-Shalhoub said two drug smuggling attempts were foiled based on intelligence shared by the GDNC with Omani authorities, resulting in the seizure of more than 200 kilograms of narcotics.
He reaffirmed that Saudi Arabia will continue to closely monitor and counter criminal activities targeting national security and youth through drug trafficking, and ensure those involved are brought to justice.
