GILGIT (Dunya News) - The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a new patriotic song titled “Pakistan Ki Shaan, Gilgit-Baltistan” on the occasion of Gilgit-Baltistan’s Independence Day.
The song, released by ISPR, features the voices of young singers from Gilgit-Baltistan and beautifully reflects the region’s deep and eternal bond with the beloved homeland. It pays tribute to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the defense of the motherland.
The lyrics of the song express a firm resolve that anyone who has ever cast an evil eye on Pakistan has faced humiliation and disgrace. The song promotes the message that personal differences should be set aside and that unity is essential for a bright future for the nation. It emphasizes that we are a great nation, and for the prosperity of our homeland, we must uphold an atmosphere of unity, love, and brotherhood.
It is worth remembering that November 1, 1947, marks the historic day when Gilgit-Baltistan achieved freedom from Dogra rule. The people of Gilgit-Baltistan revolted against Dogra rule with the aim of joining Pakistan. The Gilgit Scouts and local freedom fighters declared war against the Dogra regime, ending the Maharaja’s control -- and for the first time, the Pakistani flag was hoisted in the skies of Gilgit.
