Afghan Taliban must take action against TTP: Aqeel Malik

Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik said Pakistan has given peace another chance at the request of the Afghan Taliban regime.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News): Minister of State for Law and Justice, Barrister Aqeel Malik, said that empty statements will not work and added that the Afghan Taliban must take action against the TTP.
Speaking on Dunya News’s programme ‘Baat Niklay Gi’, Barrister Aqeel Malik said Pakistan has given peace another chance at the request of the Afghan Taliban regime.
He said empty statements will not work; the Afghan Taliban must act against the proscribed TTP. He added that representatives of all groups of the Afghan Taliban regime were present during the talks in Istanbul.
Aqeel Malik said that we have made it clear that if the attacks do not stop, Pakistan will respond with full force.
He said Pakistan’s national security is very precious to us. Khawaja Asif is a seasoned politician and does not need advice, saying that as Defence Minister Khawaja Asif took a firm stance.
In response to another question he added that there are people inside PTI who are better than Mahmood Khan Achakzai, they should make someone from their own party the opposition leader.
