Construction in industrial estate within six months mandatory: Shafay Hussain

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay Hussain has said that it has been made mandatory to start construction within six months and run an industry within two years in industrial estate.

The minister added that property transactions in industrial estates have taken the form of a business.

Minister for Industries and Commerce Chaudhry Shafay said this while addressing the participants during his visit to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

He congratulated Faheem-ur-Rehman on becoming the President of the Lahore Chamber. It has been made mandatory to start construction within 6 months and run an industry within 2 years in industrial estate, the minister said.

He said that facilities have been provided in the industrial estate for foreign engineers.

“The rates of plots in the industrial estate have become very expensive. Work is also going on rapidly in the Sheikhupura Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate.

“People bought plots and held them so that they could sell them when they become expensive, we have cancelled these plots,” the Punjab minister said.
