LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Crime Control Department (CCD) on Monday claimed to have eliminated three suspected outlaws wanted in dozens of cases of heinous crimes, in two encounters, Dunya News reported.
In the first ‘encounter’ took place in Sandha, two suspected criminals were killed when their accomplices opened fire on a police vehicle in which the under custody were being taken for recovery.
Police retaliated in their defence, which caused the death of the alleged criminals, who were later identified as Riast and Waseem. Their bodies were sent to hospital for medicolegal procedure. Police have launched a manhunt for the fleeing criminals, who attacked the police van.
In another ‘encounter’ in Misri Shah, a suspected outlaw was killed. He was identified as Rohid Meshi. He was being taken to an area for recovery when his accomplices hiding roadside opened fire at police to get him freed. Police returned fire, as a result of the shootout the under custody outlaw was killed. Police were conducting raids to arrest the attackers.
