Floods disrupt train service in Narowal, Sialkot

The suspension of services has thrown travel plans into disarray

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Railway authorities have pulled the plug on all train operations to Narowal and Sialkot, leaving passengers high and dry, owing to the worsening flood situation in the country.

According to officials, both Narowal and Sialkot railway stations have been completely shut down. The Lahore–Rawalpindi bound train Subak Kharam has also been scrapped, while Islamabad Express – another major service between Lahore and Rawalpindi – has been called off.

Similarly, Sialkot Express and Narowal Passenger have also been taken off the tracks, adding to commuters’ woes.

Railway officials further said that several other trains have been rerouted due to the floods. As a result, passengers are facing long delays and great difficulty in reaching their destinations.
