Kashmiris, Pakistanis hold protest in London against India's actions in IoK

A large number of women, children, and elderly individuals participated in the demonstration

LONDON (Dunya News) - Kashmiris and Pakistanis held a protest in London against India, marching from 10 Downing Street to the Indian High Commission.

They chanted anti-India slogans and strongly condemned the Modi government’s human rights violations in Kashmir and demanded that the United Nations deploy a peacekeeping force to Indian-occupied Kashmir.

They demanded that the Kashmiri people be given right to self-determination, urging the Indian government to immediately reverse the revocation of Article 370, declaring that India’s oppressive occupation of Kashmir is no longer tolerable.

A large number of women, children, and elderly individuals participated in the demonstration, carrying Pakistani and Kashmiri flags, banners, and placards.

Speakers stated the Modi government has trampled on the promises made by the former Indian PM Nehru, and the actions taken on August 5 have brought the Kashmir issue into the global limelight.

The protesters urged the British government to ensure the implementation of United Nations resolutions, highlighting that Kashmiris have tolerated 72 years of oppression and calling on the international community to play its role in addressing the issue.

The demonstrators emphasized that Kashmir is Pakistan’s lifeline, vowing to continue the struggle for freedom and accusing India of mocking democracy and human rights.
