RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Police stopped the sisters of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan and his cousin Qasim Khan at Chakri Road while they were en route to meet him at Adiala Jail.

Leaders of the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aaeen (Constitution Protection Movement), including Mahmood Khan Achakzai, along with PTI leaders Salman Akram Raja and Shandana Gulzar, were also prevented from proceeding to the jail.

Meanwhile, City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Khalid Hamdani arrived at Adiala Jail to review security situation. In anticipation of a possible PTI protest, stringent security measures have been in place around Adiala Jail.

Police checkpoints have been established at Gorkhpur and Dahgal, and special units of the Riot Management Force have also been stationed.

It is worth noting that the administration has imposed Section 144 in Rawalpindi and Islamabad, banning all forms of gatherings, processions, rallies, and assemblies of more than four people.
