Funeral prayers in absentia for Hassan Nasrallah today

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman says funeral prayers will be held at the end of protests

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) emir Hafiz Naeemur Rehman has announced offering the funeral prayers in absentia for Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah.

The JI chief said the party will hold country-wide protests against rising cost of electricity and Independent Power Producers (IPPs), adding after the protests the JI will hold funeral prayers in absentia for Hassan Nasrallah.

Hafiz Naeemur Rehman urged the Islamic world to raise voice against Israeli atrocities in Gaza and Lebanon.

He said on Sunday (today) JI will hold country-wide protests against price-hike and to show solidarity with people of Palestine and Lebanon.

Lebanon’s Hezbollah confirmed on Saturday that its leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was killed in Israeli strikes that wipe out many Beirut buildings.

Notwithstanding the lost of its leader who led the resistance movement for almost three decades, the group vowed to continue its battle against Israel.
