Supreme Court to announce reserved judgment of Election Tribunals case on September 30

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Supreme Court of Pakistan is to announce the judgment of the Election Tribunals case on September 30.
The top court earlier reserved the judgment on Tuesday. The court had also ordered the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to make the tribunals functional.
The Chief Justice led a five-member bench that heard the case of the ECP appeal.
During the hearing, CJP Isa remarked “I am tired of requesting again and again, look at the constitution what does it say?”.
“Chief Justice of the High Court is not an ordinary person, both the ECP and High Courts are honourable institutions, the matter of likes and dislikes on the appointment of judges in tribunal should end now,” Said Justice Jamal Khan Mandokhel.
